Welcome to Methley Bridge Chandlery

We are based in Methley Bridge Boatyard where we offer a wide range of facilities. New build narrowboats and widebeams are built and completed to your requirements – from shell to fully fitted. Self build and renovation projects are welcomed. Moorings and storage are available. 

 Our chandlery stocks a wide range of products, paints and maintenance products, anchors, ropes, fenders, pumps – bilge, water and toilet, steering systems can be installed and supplied complete or individual items like cables, steering wheels are all kept in stock. Waterways maps and gifts for home or boat are stocked. Electronics – radios, fishfinders, marine stereos and aerials to suit different vessels.

We are located in Castleford where the A639 crosses the River Calder we offer products and services for inland users, sea going vessels and also commercial vessels. 

For visitors by boat – you are welcome to tie up alongside the vessels we moor on the riverbank – nothing fancy – but very welcoming, give us a call and we will help you moor up. 

We are also an an award winning Honda Marine dealership covering the Yorkshire and Humberside regions. All engines from the BF2.3 to the mighty BF225 can be supplied and installed to meet and exceed customer expectations. The range of Honwave inflatables compliment the product.

Should you be here for the day if we are working on your vessel 2 minutes away is Methley Bridge Farm Shop – open 7 days a week offering farm fresh produce, fresh bread, wonderful cakes and pastries, fresh milk and dairy produce and of course a good selection of wines.

This is a worrying time for our clients, family and friends and we ask that if anyone in your immediate family / household is unwell please do not visit us.

The Government has now strongly advised against all non-essential contact for the welfare of all.

We will keep the shop open but ask for your co-operation when visiting, ideally ringing first. Our telephone lines are diverted should the shop be closed, we would ask that you call us first to check if we have what you require, make payment over the telephone and arrange to collect goods.
